What can I trade in?
Can I trade in custom or engraved devices?
Yes, custom or engraved products are eligible for trade-in. If the device was engraved by XOTIC, its trade-in value won’t be impacted. However, third-party engraving or custom pieces may affect your device’s value.
How much will I get for trading in my device?
Your trade-in value depends on the device, model, manufacturer, and condition. Answer a few quick questions, send in your device on time, and as long as its condition checks out, you’ll likely get the full estimated value.
Remember, we need your trade-in within 15 days of receiving your new device, and the condition needs to match your description. Quotes are valid for 3 weeks—don’t let them slip away.
How long does the process take?
Once you accept the offer, the process is swift. Send us your trade-in within 15 days. Typically, it takes about 2 to 3 weeks to complete, but the sooner we get your trade-in, the faster we verify and process your credit—usually within 3 to 5 business days.
How do I prepare my device?
Once you lock in your trade-in offer, then follow the steps in your email to back up your data and package up your gear.
Can I cancel my trade-in?
If you haven’t shipped your device yet, no worries—just hold onto it, and your trade-in is automatically cancelled after 3 weeks.
Already sent it in? While we can’t cancel the trade-in at that stage, if the final trade-in value doesn’t meet your expectations, you can always decline the revised offer.
Why do I have a new quote?
If your device’s condition doesn’t match what you shared, we’ll adjust the value accordingly.
Should the updated value come in lower than the original estimate, you’ve got options: accept it, and we’ll proceed with the trade-in, adjusting the difference on your provided card—or reject it, and we’ll send your device back per your request.
If the value goes up? That’s an automatic upgrade to your trade-in credit—no extra steps needed.
